Laurens First Baptist is an self-governing Baptist Church under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. We have a long history and a strong Baptist heritage. We have been here on this site since 1834, with many great preachers along the way. Because we were started from the work of other extising churches, we feel a strong passion for missions. We are great givers to and doers of God's work in the world. Though we have a beatuiful church building, it is not our buildings that make us a church, it is  our members. First Baptist is a family of believers working to make and grow disciples of Christ and sharing the good news with all we meet through cooperation with:
