.We are so glad you have made your way to our site. Our website is a work in progress, but we hope you can get a feel for our church and the ministries we offer. This website is just that: a website. The true sense of who we are can only be understood by visting us at 300 West Main Street in Laurens, and meeting the members of our family.
First Baptist is a church with a rich history. We have gathered in this same spot for the purpose of worship, ministry, missions and fellowship since 1834. Central to this church’s deep heritage is its focus on worship, life-changing Bible study, and its variety of ministries. Worship is vital to the family of faith at First Baptist Church. Hebrews 10:25 says, “Forsake not the assembling of yourselves together.”
We have strong children and youth programs. The main goal for our children and youth is to grow fully-devoted followers of Christ. We believe that this happens best in the home, and we strive to be a good parental resource for families. Quality Christ-centered music is a mainstay at First Baptist. We have opportunites for all ages to participate.
