Watchman Program Adopted by our Church
Hospice of Laurens County, a not-for-profit organization serving our county since 1987, recently began a new program that is a further extension of the ministry provided by Laurens County churches and Hospice of Laurens County. The newly adopted WatchmanTM Program will provide our congregation with a local missions opportunity.
The goal of the WatchmanTM Program is to identify and train one person in eachof 140+ Laurens County congregations who will serve as the Hospice Representative within their church. These volunteers will maintain close contact with leaders and members within their congregations and convey the appropriate needs of their church families to Hospice of Laurens County. Also, they will receive training, become familiar with Hospice procedures, and be a knowledgeable resource for their congregation.
